These are just some mini cupcakes that I was having fun making!

Graduation Cake!

This was for a graduation party.  I loved making the flowers and using a combination of colors.  The scroll and graduation cap were made out of gumpaste.

Minnie Mouse

This cake was Minnie Mouse inspired and is one of my favorites.  I made gumpaste ears and piped pear dots along the bottom of the top tier.

A Simpler Approach

The client asked me to create a softer and more natural approach.  I covered the cake with buttercream and made fondant flowers.

Starry Night

This was a cupcake cake made for a project in my AP Literature class.  (I apologize for the poor picture quality, the colors were much more defined and vibrant).  All made out of buttercream.

Casino Time!

This cake is the corner of a poker table and made for a casino themed birthday/New Years party. The poker chips, cards, and cigar are all made of fondant.  I used edible pens for the cards and chips.

Castle Cake!

This cake was made for my school's homecoming court.  The theme was "Disney Princesses" so I made a castle for the court's dessert!

More Bassinets!

The first bassinet was made for my cousin's baby shower and the second was made for a friend at church.  She gave me a plate design that she requested me to base the cake off of!

Bible Cake 2!

This cake looks very similar to the previous one, but it is indeed different. This cake one was considerably larger. This took 16 cake batches, 72 eggs, 8 pounds of powdered sugar, 2 pounds of butter, and 22 hours. It was to feed 200 people and it was by far the largest cake I had made.

Bible Cake

This cake was made to thank an old youth pastor and welcome a new one.  The letting was printed on velum and was not edible.

Horsey Cake!

This cake was also for a retirement party.  The client was very into horseback riding.  I used chocolate to make the paisley design on the bottom bandana layer.  The wooden sign reads "Happy Trails"!

Africa

This cake was for a friend who came back from Africa on a mission trip.  I carved the shape and painted the fondant with food coloring!

Brief Case!

This cake was my first profit! I sold this one to my sister-in-law's mother who was throwing a retirement party for a co-worker.  It was my first tie using gumpaste for the hinges and notepad.  You cannot see the detail, but there is stitching on the brief case. :)

I love you daddy!

This was made in honor of my father.  He is a hard working man whom I respect very much.  He always puts his family before himself and works very hard to provide a good life for us.  Thanks daddy, I love you.

Happy Birthday

This was for my father and sister's birthday (they share the date).  I love the soft color combination of pinks, blues, and yellows, so I wanted to use that in this cake.  It was especially time consuming to create all of the veins and textures by hand.

Baby shower!

This is my second cake.  I made it for my English teacher who was expecting a baby girl.  This was definitely a challenge, but I was happy with the results.
